The Maryland-District of Columbia Scholastic Press Association is a non-profit association headquartered at the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. It offers opportunities to advisers and students to continue the journalistic tradition of excellence in Maryland and the Washington, D.C. area. MSPA has a strong interest in scholastic free press issues, in supporting the rejuvenation of defunct journalism programs and in strengthening existing programs at area middle and high schools.
