Regis Boyle Award Offers New Advisers Training

The Maryland-District of Columbia Scholastic Press Association invites middle and high school newspaper, yearbook and magazine advisers to apply for the Regis Boyle Award for Scholastic Journalism.

The monetary award assists with the training and teaching of new advisers at a national, regional or local scholastic press workshop.

Award applicants must have no more than two years experience and must send in a resume and letter describing his or her publication, length of time as a publication adviser, and how the award and training will help improve the publication. Established in 1995 by Maryland's College of Journalism, the fund honors the late veteran journalism teacher and adviser Dr. Regis Boyle.
